DARRYL GLOVER
Darryl Glover's journey began at the New York Opera where he was introduced to the craft of storytelling through costume design. His meticulous attention to
detail laid the foundation for his remarkable career. Shortly after his creative start he ventured into the dynamic realm of editorial styling and creative direction, leaving an indelible mark on publications from Vogue and Instyle to VIBE and Honey Magazine. Each project pushed the boundaries of storytelling with clothing, earning recognition and respect from his industry peers.

A pivotal moment arrived when an editorial concept submitted by Darryl resonated with the iconic Janelle Monae, marking the inception of a partnership that solidified his status as a sought-after celebrity stylist. After a short stint in the music industry, his transition into young Hollywood brought collaborations with a diverse array of clients, from Caleb McLaughlin of "Stranger Things" to MJ Rodriguez of "POSE." Currently, Darryl is the creative force behind Joy Sunday, a central figure in Netflix's enthralling phenomenon, "WEDNESDAY." His vision continues to enhance the aesthetics of the entertainment industry, crafting visual masterpieces with each project.

Darryl's influence extends beyond personal styling; he's been an invaluable part of design teams for hit TV shows like "POWER" on STARZ and "POSE" on FX. His recent
work on "Power Book III: Raising Kanan'' earned praise for recreating iconic looks from the 90s. His creative genius extends to advertising, where he's styled campaigns for renowned brands such as Nike, Puma, and more recently, beauty giant Lancôme. His portfolio includes iconic moments in pop culture, from contributing to the curation of Beyonce's infamous GQ cover to crafting costumes for MTV Vanguard performances for luminaries like Rihanna and Miley Cyrus.
As a celebrated Celebrity Stylist and Creative Director for Young Hollywood, Darryl is excited to return to education with an expansive network that can be used to champion creative arts education. His personal belief is, exposure begets achievement. Darryl firmly believes that, “Student’s can’t be what they don’t see”. He is devoted to bridging the gap between education and entertainment.

Prior to pursuing a career in the entertainment industry Darryl served for 6 years as a Newark Public School Kindergarten Teacher. Evaluated as distinguished, his classroom instruction contributed to him becoming a model classroom teacher for the district’s School Leadership Team. He was also elected to be the lead instructor for After School Together, an initiative he helped launch for students at Chancellor Elementary.

Today Darryl serves as an ad hoc professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology where he expose’s incoming freshmen to the various careers available as a Fashion Stylist. He recently launched That Day In August, a non profit initiative where he hopes to bring Creative Entrepreneurs into the school districts to expose the creative arts as a career option to underserved students in grades K-12; Darryl is committed to using his platform to make a difference.
